The impact of research helps determine the future course of the rice industry in Texas. We encourage you to participate in two research field days to be held in the Texas Rice Belt. We hope you will help sponsor these important rice industry events. Each activity will concentrate on research results and economic developments for rice. Dates and starting times of these activities are as follows: 

           Each of the two field days will consist of a field tour, research information discussions, commercial displays, and a meal with all the trimmings.  

           At the Beaumont Field Day on the field tour, there will be a contest among growers to estimate yields on a foundation seed field. The prize for the closest estimate will be 500 lbs of foundation seed or 200 lbs of milled rice, whichever you prefer. At our morning program of the Beaumont Field Day we will have a drawing for door prizes. For the drawings we are soliciting prize contributions. We request that the prize contributions be an actual gift donation or a certificate/coupon for use without requiring a purchase. Contributors will be recognized. If you wish to participate, please return the enclosed Door Prize Form indicating your donation. Please return the donation form by June 2.
