Responsibilities:

Secretary/Treasurer - Texas Rice Improvement Association 1998-present
Duties include:
? Transferred all data to a Quick Books automated system
? Set up individual account/categories for each project leader that had money in a TRIA account.
? Generate monthly statements to each project leader by the 15th of every month.
? Set up an account for Foundation Seed, which has 27 categories for which I can itemize each expenditure and maintain a running total of each category at all times.
? Responsible for the monthly Financial Statement and Statement of Income and Expenses to be distributed to the 21 board members.
? Responsible for all check disbursements and all deposits made into our account.
? Maintain Field Day sponsor funding and expenses.
? Maintain first of the year orders from Foundation Seed that are being received.
? Maintain first of the year Membership dues that come in.
? Responsible for all correspondence to and from the TRIA Board of Directors.
? Distribute notices to all Directors regarding meetings that are scheduled throughout the year by the President, Dr. Jim Stansel.
? Responsible for taking the minutes of each meeting and distribute copies to all Directors within an allotted time.
? Responsible for all Workers Compensation payments, insurance payments, monthly payroll taxes and TEC payments.
? Submit all completed paperwork for yearly income tax preparation, including mailing W-2?s and Misc. 1099.
? Create presentation graphics for the Foundation Seed Manager.
? Expedite the proposed yearly budget and the finalized budget.
Accounting/Personnel Department - Texas Ag. Experiment Station    1990-1998
Duties included:
? Processing new employees
? Bi-Weekly Payroll
? Accounts Payable and Receivables
? Processing travel vouchers for several staff members
I have been very fortunate to work with the Texas Ag. Experiment Station in Beaumont and Texas Rice Improvement Association. I am very proud to be associated with an organization with such high standards. It has not only been challenging, but also a very rewarding experience.
