Cuerna costalis

Cuerna costalis (Fabricius), about 9 mm, ventral portion of the body is black with yellow-white spots; a yellow-white line runs laterally around the body; top of head is black with yellow speckles, as is the pronotum; lower half of eyes are brownish while the upper portions are black. Wings are dark red with black veins. This sharpshooter has been captured on sticky cards and net sweeps. Has also been seen feeding on sunflowers.
